While visiting Venice you could take a ferry to the other side of the Adriatic sea to Croatia. Of course it works vice versa as well, if you are on vacation or business trip to Croatia, to take the ferry to Venice. The operator of the ferries is VeneziaLines. There are five Croatian cities connected, namely Porec, Rovinj, Pula, Rabac and Mali Losinj. To and from Porec it takes two and a half hours, to Rovinj it takes three hours and a half and to Mali Losinj around four and a half hours. Please note that not all lines are operated throughout the year. The ferry to Mali Losinj for instance operates only in July and August. On this site you can find more information about the respective schedule.
